There is a proverb in Tamil - "Ayiram konnaal ara vaidyan" -- (If you murder a thousand you are half a physician).
Most patients who suffer from chronic diseases will ultimately become medical experts on their condition just like the doctors treating them.
That is why perhaps many crazy people will become great psychologists, or is it the other way around? :-)
